This morning started out pretty good, kids slept till about 7:15 and they all got baths. Then we had to kill a little time. Sebastian and I were supposed to leave for Los Posingos for his tube surgery at 8:15. We decided to keep Cate and John upstairs with us because Sebastian could not eat or drink anything before his surgery. Well, it was soon 9:00 and still no driver. So, the hotel staff called Cecilia and soon a taxi arrived. So, at 9:10, Sebastian and I were on our way to Los Posingos. We arrived at Los Posingos and immediately Sebastian started to cry. He saw the building that was home to him for over a year and he did not want to go back. I felt so badly for him and so I just held him. He normally walks on his own everywhere but this morning, I carried him. We met with Carlos and he immediately said that his surgery was scheduled for tomorrow. So, they did some checking and sure enough, his surgery is on Wed. I guess it was a case of "lost in translation". As we were leaving, he was waiving goodbye frantically. It made me feel good that Rhett and I were doing something right and that he did not want to be back at the orphanage.
While we were at L.P., I found out we are in Court #21. That was another downer to me. We originally heard that Courts 10, 21 and 22 are "slow" courts. So, we will continue to pray that we slip through and our attorney goes to bat for us.
When we got back to Hotel Paris, Sebastian and I had a late breakfast...poor guy was sooo hungry. I shed a few tears with the events of the day (Rhett leaving, wrong day for Sebastian's surgery and Court #21), but my mom and Patsy Kopka (another LSS mother) were here to comfort me. I know that everything happens for a reason and nobody really knows what the future holds. So, we continue to keep our heads high and pray for the best.
Other than that, the boys have been having so much fun playing with the Kopka boys so we are so thankful they are here to keep the boys and all of us busy!
The boys are now napping and Cate once again decided she was only going to take a half hour nap. Once the boys wake up, we will try to get out for a walk, maybe Cate will take a cat nap for us, otherwise, it will be early to bed for her.
My battery life has about 20 minutes left and plug-ins are hard to come by here so I will sign off and hopefully post pictures later!
