Same old, same old!

Today we started with our normal routine with baths and breakfast. I really enjoy sitting at breakfast with all kids in their chairs contained so I can enjoy my coffee. I think that is what I will miss most about Colombia...the coffee!! I think all my aunts should make a trip down here just for their coffee!! My uncles might not get them back to Minnesota!

Bath time, is quite the process. I think we have it down pretty good, but I am not a huge fan of doing it. I look forward to the day when we can just throw them (well not literally) in the tub at home. Here we take a bucket, actually it is Colombia's version of a potty chair, fill it with water in the sink and fill up the baby bath. Quite a pain.

After breakfast, we played in the hotel's play area for awhile with the other families and then we decided to take a walk. We walked down the canal and stopped for our daily dose of dinero (money). That hurts every day when we have to take money out. Yikes!

We came back, had lunch and then our in-country rep, Cecilia, came to meet us. She is a wonderful lady. (I said hi from all of our fellow LSS families that we know) Cecilia said she misses everyone. She informed us we will tour the orphanage tomorrow at 4:30. She said the kids should stay at the hotel while Rhett and I go. This will give us a chance to sit down and talk with Carlos, the director of the orphanage, and get all of our questions answered without trying to control 3 hooligans!! We are also going to talk about Sebastian's pending surgery. She said she would like us to get a second opinion while here. I guess how it works is the orphanage has government insurance and therefore, go to government hospitals and we all know how the government likes to suck all our cash that we have. So, she is going to work on getting us an appt. with a private doctor here to see if we can wait for his surgery when we are back in the states...if he even needs it. Cecilia is an angel, she is truly looking out for our best interest.

Not much else going on here, kids and Rhett are napping and I am going to be working on some paperwork that we need for tomorrow.

We miss everyone and hope to see you all soon!!

Hey Guys! Good to see your last couple of days have gotten better. I was showing Will and Sydney the pictures you've posted tonight and after looking at them and going over everyone's name, Will turns to me and says "mommy, is there only 3 kids because they really should bring one more home so they have 4"...Apparently 3 just isn't enough for him! Sydney loves the "butterfly" in Cate's hair! Needless to say they are really excited to meet their new neighbors! So please hurry back with them!
I hope all goes well tomorrow. We love reading your posts. And I have to say, I might be just a little pleased that Cate seems to have a "strong" personality...something I can totally relate too!

I have to run, Bjorn has been at your house mowing for quite a while...not sure if I see him any more...Hmmmm! J/K all is good.

Take care, stay positive and enjoy every moment!

Hi Holly-

The kids are absolutely adorable. I find myself checking your blog regularly and just gazing at their beautiful little faces. Good luck tomorrow at Los Pisingos. It is always an interesting, sometimes tough, and emotional day. Feel free to video the session and take lots of notes. Rob and I find that we are forgetting details of each child these days.

I just can't wait to meet these little guys. Enjoy your time in Colombia!
