Sorry, there are no pictures tonight. :( I was putting Cate to bed tonight, started at 7:45 and she just fell asleep at 9:45. She would close her eyes, then about 10 seconds later, open them to make sure I was there. At about 9:00 she was sitting up with her back to me and I think she was kind of sleeping so I slowly backed up and just sat on the bed about 5 feet away. She totally busted me and started her wimpering. With the 2 boys already asleep, I didn't want her screaming so I continued to stand there. What a debacle that was. Another lesson learned...do not let her take a 2 hour, 45 minute nap again!!
Getting back to why there are no pictures. Rhett put the camera in a suitcase under Cate's crib. The last thing I am going to do at 10:15 is wiggle her crib to get the camera. I will post them tomorrow!!
We got some REALLY good news today...we have our Defender of Minors meeting on Monday at 2:00. (Perfect, right during naptime) We will look like terrible parents because the kids will be over tired. They are so good with their naps and by about 1:30 they are always eager to take a nap. This meeting usually takes place 5-10 days after we receive the children. Yeah!! There is another couple here adopting 3 children and they are expecting Sentencia next week, they are finishing their 4th week here. They said they were told that families adopting 3 or more children are generally run through the courts a little faster than others. We do not want to get our hopes up because anything can happen. There is another LSS family here who is finishing their 9th week and they do not know when their process will be complete. They are hoping next Thurs. but that is up in the air as well. Nothing is certain around here, just like the last 3 years.
I was re-reading my entry and I think I need to sign off. Cate took every last bit of energy out of me and I am off to bed!

wow! I just found this blog via FB - how super exciting!!!! What an amazing adventure to start a lifetime of all new adventures together! All in all (well, except maybe for the geyser of poo), it sounds like it is going really well. I'm so happy for you two!!! I will keep an eye on you via this blog- technology is actually fun and useful sometimes! Wishing you all the best, a speedy process to get through all the details, continued and even better health and safe travels home. Enjoy!

oh yeah, and the kids are all TOTALLY CUTE!!!!
The Cate bedtime story is too funny (though I am sure it was not at the time!). Sounds like my night with the boys last night-both up until 10:00...not sure what that was about! It was pretty sweet though-Jake kept wanting to pray for his "cousins" in Colombia. He obviously doesn't quite get what a cousin is, but he sure is sweet about it. Will is all fired up that he will be the oldest out of the 5 of our kids there!
Great news about the Defender meeting Monday. Nothing better than knowing that the process is officially on the move! The meeting is very fast by the way-maybe 10-15 minutes-so hopefully you will be in the car with sleeping kids before you know it. In the meantime, keep enjoying those beautiful children. Going to venture out and take them to the markets this Sunday??? :-)

Yikes, make that out of the SIX of our kids. Reality check! :)
