Paperwork is done!

Mommy's future coffee drinker!!

I told her to take her fingers out the light socket and she didn't like that very much!

Just ignore the messy nose!

Crazy John once again!

Yesterday, my mom, the kids and myself went out to the mall. We weren't looking for anything in particular until we saw some grandparents walking kids around with the little animal backpacks that have a leash on them. We immediately knew we needed to find them. So, with a lot of luck we were able to find 2 monkey ones. We think they will be perfect for the airport as we will have some time there and they will want to walk around. There is no way we would be able to let them run wild on us...these 2 boys would be gone in a flash!

As we were walking around the mall, there was an older couple sitting on a bench and they were so interested in our kids. They did not speak any English, so in my broken Spanish, I got out that we were adopting 3 siblings and we were going home to the United States on Tuesday. The older lady was so happy, she pointed up to heaven as if we were doing such a wonderful thing. It is really fun to experience that when the Colombians feel the same way we do about adoption. It really seems to us that the older people are so happy about it.

We got back just in time for lunch and then we put the kids down for a nap. Once again, our little Cate has only been taking 30 minute naps! Needless to say, she goes to bed really easy at night!

At 3:00, it was time for me to head out to the US Embassy to pick up the 3 passports/visas. It took about 45 minutes to get there for about 5 minutes of collecting the paperwork. So, we are all ready to come home, no more paperwork...what a wonderful feeling!!

Last night at dinner, one of the other families was celebrating their sentencia so there was cake and a lot of dancing. We were all having a good time...grandma was even dancing with the security guard! We are planning to have our little party on Monday night, so our friends, the Kopka's will be back from their little vacation and right before we leave!

This morning we had breakfast and then went out for a little walk. We needed to get Cate some more diapers, I was trying to get by with putting all three kids in a size 4, but that clearly was too big for Cate. So much for trying to save money!

We don't have much else going on for the rest of the day and not much else planned for the rest of our time here except tomorrow my mom and I will hit the markets one last time (as if we haven't seen it all before!!).

Thanks again for all the prayers and comments! We really appreciate it!

Honestly, I just love your updates. By the way, I have a client who has converted their blog into a shutterfly like scrapbook. They use their blog for keeping their son's birth parents up to date. Maybe there is a link for you, but if not, and you are interested, I can get the details on how to do it. I think it would be such a great book for your kids!!! So glad you are on your way home soon! Loved the pictures of Cate & John! Was Sebastian lying low when pictures were being taken? He is such a fun one to see too! Look forward to seeing them all in Mpls., soon!
Mike/I think it is wonderful too that you & Rhett are taking 3 siblings instead of having the kids split up between different families in different part of the states or world. The kids don't realize it now, but will really appreciate, being kept together, when they are older. Going from having no kids to having 3 busy kids is a huge step, but you & Rhett will do just fine---even though you may want to pull your own hair out at times!
