Last Post from Bogota

This was our dessert for lunch! Even I tried it and it wasn't too bad, it definitely looks worse than it tastes.
A tired Catie!
I packed all the boys toys so now they have to find other things, such as a stroller, to play with!
This will more than likely be my last post from Bogota, unless something extraordinary happens!! Depending on how things go tomorrow, I may try to post once we get to Atlanta otherwise for sure when we get back to Minnesota on Wednesday!

Today has been a day of packing! We are pretty much all packed up except for the laundry that is currently being done. What am I going to do when I get home and I have to do the laundry myself? The kids cooperated very well while I was packing, even though I was packing up all of their toys. It is so interesting that these kids do not form any attachment to any toys! We brought each of the boys a matchbox car when we first met them and once they got comfortable with us, they no longer care about those cars. It is actually kind of nice because the one we got for John has not been seen for a couple of weeks and he has no clue! I am sure it is probably in the community playroom but since he doesn't care, I am not going to go digging through the bins of toys to find it!

Tonight, we ordered a cake for everyone for dessert. As most of you know, I am not much for being center of attention, so I would like to try to keep the festivities for this evening at a minimum. Hopefully the staff will keep it mellow as we have seen how they like to party!

Thank you for following along on our journey, I will continue to post periodically when we are home but it obviously will not be every day!!

Signing off from Bogota,
Holly, Sebastian, John, Cate and Grandma

You guys MADE IT!!!! What an adventure it has been. Really going to miss all the pictures and the stories. But the greatest news of all - we will get to hear about them in person because you guys will be home, right where you belong!

I laughed reading about missing the food, language, comforts of your own country, etc. I remember that being in Asia for 3 weeks...but I didn't have 3 kids to care for. SO, my hats off to you! You guys have been such wonderful and gracious troopers, as evidenced by all the kind people you were surrounded by. We can't wait to finally get you ALL home.

Thinking and praying for safe, happy and calm travels. Taking 3 little ones on a plane 3 and under....i yi yi! If anyone can do it smoothly - it's you and Grandma Betty! Smart move on the monkey backpacks. It's just the "piece of mind" knowing you have them by your side. We did the same with our little stinkers.

Now, whoop-it-up on your last night in Bogota. Bring on the wine after this is all over – right :) YEAH!!!!!

All our love,
Danielle, Jim and the girls

Must feel great to be all set to go!! Holly--it's really shocking to me that you are all organized and ready to go...not packing late into the night! :0) I have no doubt that you and Grandma Betty can handle things just fine tomorrow on the flight! I bet Rhett can hardly wait to get his family home!
You have done an AMAZING job during your stay in Colombia!! Way to go! Can't wait to get together once you are home and hear all the stories, see the pics and most importantly, meet your three little sweeties!!!
Safe travels!
